Mango House in Lanta Old Town
Until just a few years ago there were no accommodations for visitors wishing to sleep over night in Lanta Old Town. Unless, of course, you had a local friend who asked you to stay in their family home.
Today choices are still limited – only 20 total units are available in and around town – but now Lanta Old Town has some nice options ranging from simple guesthouse and hotel rooms to modern suites and funky over-the-sea villas for short or long term rent.
Guests wishing to stay in Old Town should understand that this is an authentic Thai fishing village not a fancy resort destination. Typically the village’s is bustling with activity at 6am every morning and virtually desolate by 9pm.
For the most part all accommodations in Lanta Old Town are on the seafront with rooms built directly over the water. Mango Houses offers an extraordinary choice of waterfront vacation rentals that are flexible for accommodating anywhere from 1 to 15 people. Mango Suite One feature a full kitchens and waterfront bedroom. Mango Suite Two features a large air conditioned bedroom with a queen-size and two twin beds and two bathrooms and Mango Suite Three is our honeymoon favorite with private deck.
Lanta Pole Houses has two unique, modernize waterfront villas with fully appointed kitchens and various other guesthouse-type of accommodation is also available in town.
