The dates for the 2009 Laanta Lanta Festival have been announced as March 7th, 8th and 9th. This annual event is Held in Old Town and is a showcase for the diversity of the Islands inhabitants. Many food and beverage stalls, traditional arts and crafts. 2 large stages are built with nightly shows offering everything from traditional Sea Gypsy song and dance, to Reggae and Jazz!
Laanta Lanta Festival is an evening event that attracts people from all over the island and beyond, creating a party atmosphere throughout the whole town, an absolute ‘must do’.

Arrived on ko lanta and discovered the lanta festval. We had an amazing time! the combination of interesting food, great music and excellent ambiance. Would love to go in 2010! Ko Lanta rocks.

Does anyone know when the 2010 festival will be? We are arriving 8th March and would love to know if it coincides with our visit.

Thank you for your enquiry about the Laanta Lanta festival dates for 2010. We don’t know the dates yet and will probably not know until a few weeks before the event. This year’s event was 7-9th March, so with luck you should be here at the right time, I hope so, as this is an event not to be missed!

I am also going to be in Lanta March 3-7 and am SO hoping the festival will be MArch 6-8 this year (sat, sun, monday). I am bringing a big group of friends with me this time and have been telling them all about the festival so fingers crossed, it will be this first weekend in March !!!

Now the dates should be decided? We´re in Lanta feb23 until march8. My birthday (20 again…) is on the 7th, so I really hope we kan join the festival.

I’ll also be there in the first week of March. The 6-8 would be perfect dates for the festival!! Keeping my fingers crossed!
