Some of the best food in Lanta Old Town can be found right on the street from one of the innumerable stalls and carts that the Thai people are so enamored of. There’s plenty of variety for the hungry browser; street carts usually specialize in one or two dishes but they usually clump together, providing excellent selection. Noodles, barbeque, sate, curries and desserts, like tasty fried bananas and doughnuts. In addition to street stalls lots of delicious treats can be found at Lanta Old Town’s Sunday Market. Here you can find a vast array of local produce, many strange fruits, vegetables and spices.
